Welcome to my online portfolio/sketchbook. I would describe much of my work in particular my collage pieces as conceptual, a visual diary documenting issues & experiences I have had or I am dealing with. Compared with my freehand work where my mark-making is very controlled & precise, collage allows me to be free & expressionate, often producing very personal pieces
I have been creative/drawing since I was 6yrs old & I’ve now reached a point in my life where I have the ability to shift between mediums & not restrict myself to say solely freehand. My methodology & approach is that I take inspiration from past & present events & the questions I have going around in my head. I feel most fulfilled when my work grows organically, & is rooted in truth or my perspective thereof.
I am fascinated by people, psychology, theology & body language, I like to understand behaviour, and I have a thirst for answers & I like to explain things.
I’m also a very big kid at heart, when I want to give myself a rest from thinking a little too much & escape; I love to immerse myself into Films, Graphic Novels and Cartoons that inspire me to come up with original illustrations.
