Like many people I love old cartoons, I guess for a number of reasons: nostalgia & because they inspire me & continue to.
Growing up I would religiously watch the likes of He-Man, Thundercats, M.A.S.K, Looney Tunes, & Batman: The Animated Series to name a few.
I like to re-visit these characters & reinventing my favourites. The Thundercats are the first of many that I am currently working on; the following are early concepts in their original attire. I also chose to experiment with text in these sketches by including it within the mark-making.
